TECHNOLOGY OF TOMORROW

Introduction to T-Guard's Key Features

T-Guard suite of tools and management systems is designed to monitor and reduce errant driving habits.

T-Guard is created to prevent the following erratic driving behaviors:

  • Falling asleep while driving long distances
  • Fidgeting with handphones or other distractions while driving
  • Failing to keep a proper look out on the road
  • Abrupt braking and uncontrolled acceleration which may cause grievous injuries to passengers onboard
  • Changing lanes without due care causing unintended accidents
  • Tailgating vehicle in front with no regard for safe following distance

Driver Alert (T-DA) Anti-Fatigue Driving System

Driver Alert (T-DA) is a Professional Grade Driving Auxiliary Warning System built on Machine Vision Technology to detect abnormal driving habits.

The onboard Machine Vision Technology monitors a driver’s performance in real time by analyzing more than facial recognition 500 points to capture instances of fatigue such as Micro-Sleep (MS) which usually lasts a fraction of a second. The Machine Vision’s proprietary calibrated sensitivity is able to differentiate between an eye-blink and micro-sleep so drivers do and fleet management teams only receive actual alerts of fatigue onset.

Driver Alert (T-DA) detects distractions like a driver who is turning away from the main direction of driving, handphone usage and smoking. Drivers and fleet management would receive alerts when a distraction has been detected.

T-DA can be integrated into CCTV Systems to provide Fleet Management & Control Centers with live video footage feed which enables management to take the required actions to ensure road safety and driver compliance.

T-DA Driver Alert Infrared Camera

How does T-DA Work?

T-DA Driver Alert Scanning Visualiazation

T-DA Driver Alert is an Infrared Camera Sensor that scans and tracks the changes of the driver’s face for micro-changes with facial recognition points.

The Infrared Camera is specifically calibrated to identify changes in eye pupil and eyelid movements such as closed eyelids for more than 1 second to detect when the driver is falling asleep.

Driver Distraction Alarm

Detects driver distractions like handphone usage and general lack of concentration during driving.

The system will issue an alarm to remind the driver everytime he is not focused on driving.

Driver Fatigue Alarm

Pupil Identification technology is used to detect and analyze critical pupil and eyelid movements like prolonged closed eyelids which could signal driver fatigue.

The system will issue an alarm to alert the driver on his potential fatigue driving conditions.

Driver Signals & Images Output

Fleet Managers will be able to observe in real time drivers’ actions and physical condition through signals relayed to T-Guard Command Centre.

Fleet Managers can take appropriate actions to remedy the situation.

Front Alert (T-FA) Anti-Collision Warning System

T-FA Front Mount Detector
Front Alert (T-FA) Anti-Collision Safety Technology is an Active Safety Technology which combines robust AI detection algorithms to conduct intelligent image analysis and vehicle speed calculations to derive the optimum reaction time required for the driver to take action such as emergency braking to avoid a forward collision.

Front Alert (T-FA) detects anomalies and issues alerts in real time to remind the driver when the vehicle is departing from the specified lane or tailing with little minimum 2 seconds safety distance to the vehicle in front.

T-FA technology is the next step forward in safety driving and becoming a standard implementation for future vehicles. T-FA comes with two components; the Front Alert device is mounted on the vehicle’s windscreen and the Warning Alerts is mounted on top of the vehicle’s speedometer dashboard to alert the driver.

T-FA Front Warning Alerts Module

Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

How does FCW work?
The FCW provides an alert up to 2.7 seconds before a  possible collision with the vehicle in front.

When is FCW operational?
The FCW is set to operate from 30km/h or defined.

Which icon represents FCW VISUAL ALERT?
A red, flashing car icon on the T-Watch display.

Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

How does the LDW work?
The LDW provides an alert when the vehicle unintentionally departs from the driving lane. An unintentional departure is defined by departing from the driving lane without using the turn signals. If the turn signal is used when changing lanes, an alert is not generated.

Which icon represents LDW visual alert?
The dashed, red line on the T-Watch display represents a right or left lane deviation.

Headway Monitoring & Warning (HMW)

How does HMW work?
The HMW displays the time, in seconds, to the vehicle in front. The system provides an alert if the time becomes dangerously short (<0.7s)

Which icon represents HMW VISUAL ALERT?
The green car icon is displayed from the moment a vehicle is detected, and remains green as long as the headway is greater than the predefined headway time threshold.
The car icon changes to red when the headway is equal to or lower than the predefined headway time threshold, or below 0.6 seconds.

T-SEEDS (Safety Eco Education Driving System)

T-SEEDS is a CAN (Controller Area Network) Module attached to the vehicle’s engine which reads and relays driving information to a Centralized Server via Internet Connection (4G).

T-SEEDS functions as a data collection for Operations Control Centers (OCC) to gather the drivers’ habits such as speeding, idling, excessive braking, dangerous cornering, unnecessary acceleration and gliding. Data gathered by T-SEEDS is translated into Telemetrics where multiple datapoints are captured including Fuel Consumption, Engine Temperature, Accelerator Pedal Position Percentage. These datapoints are useful for determining drivers who practice dangerous driving habits such as driving above the speed limit and braking with excessive force.

T-Guard Command Center

T-Guard Command Center (CC) is a Visual Dashboard for Fleet Management Administrators to identify drivers’ performance and trends. These trends cover statistics on T-DA issued alerts such as Fatigue, Speeding and Distraction.

T-Guard CC facilitates Single Vehicle identification as administrators would be able to pinpoint any vehicle in their fleet to observe through live CCTV Video Feed. T-Guard Command Center is crucial for administrators as the software allows a direct channel of communication i.e. calling to intervene with drivers who are showing symptoms of fatigue, distraction and overall poor driving performance based on the alerts generated by T-DA.
